I turned 40 and made a bucket list. I wanted to be a Pilates instructor but my neighbor convinced me to try his Zumba class and I fell in love with it. That neighbor was Jose Deleon. A month later, there was a training being held at the RiverPlex. A hip injury forced me to look for alternative exercise format and physical therapist suggested some stretching strengthening exercise for my hip. Stumbled upon Piyo and it was a fit: strength, flexibility, and cardio all in one format! I fell in love with it and love the results!
My favorite thing about being a group fitness instructor is the connection you make with the participants and the joy you share with them as you watch them achieve their goal; whether it is mastering a move, building strength, or losing weight. The smile that spreads across their face is what makes it great knowing you have helped them in their journey.
