In May 2017, Alyssa graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science and a double minor in Nutrition and Sport Psychology.  She has had 12+ years of experience in Sport Performance/Strength & Conditioning.  Alyssa’s passion for fitness stems from running track and cross country.  Her journey began at an NCAA Division 1 University.  During this journey she studied and pursued a fit and healthy lifestyle to help her compete at the top level.  In spring of 2017 she capped off her collegiate running career by qualifying to run the 800m at NCAA Regionals in Austin, TX.  At the end of her 4 years at WIU she earned 4 All-Summit League Conference Honors and broke 2 school records.

Through track, she developed a passion for helping people pursue and achieve their goals and dreams.  Alyssa has experience with training special populations such as the elderly, children, and individuals with various health issues.  Alyssa is working to complete her internship with Sport Performance this summer of 2017 here at the RiverPlex.  She is interested in working with people of all ages to help them become the best they can be!  She will help motivate and challenge you while also keeping fitness fun!
