RiverPlex PlayCare is a fun and engaging child care area located inside the RiverPlex, offering a safe space where kids can play, learn, and explore while parents enjoy their workout or fitness activities. With a variety of age-appropriate toys, games, and activities, PlayCare ensures that children are entertained and cared for by friendly and professional staff. This is free for children members and open daily with select hours for children 2-10 years old.

While this space is a convenience for parents who want to make exercise a part of their day for their own health, it also fosters health in children. Play is essential to children’s health, actually enhancing brain structure and function. Through play, children learn to solve problems, collaborate with others, think creatively, and more.

Monday: 8:30 – 11:30am and 4:30 – 7:45pm

Tuesday: 8:30 – 11:30am and 4:30 – 7:45pm

Wednesday: 8:30 – 11:30am and 4:30 – 7:45pm

Thursday: 8:30 – 11:30am and 4:30 – 7:45pm

Friday: 8:30 – 11:30am

Saturday: 9am – 12pm

Sunday: Closed

Children members: FREE

Children non-member & parent member: $9; max 2 hours

Play Areas

Build a City. Children play with blocks of all sorts, as well as Brio trains and tracks.

Art Time. Play with different media and approaches to making art.

Nutrition Kitchen. Explore and “cook” in a kid-sized kitchen equipped with plastic food and dishes.

Rules

• PlayCare staff cannot assist children in diapering or toileting. You will be called if your child needs assistance.
• Children may not stay longer than 2 hours and must be picked up by the closing time of PlayCare
• Parents may not leave the RiverPlex building while children are at PlayCare.
• PlayCare is only available to RiverPlex and YMCA members.
• PlayCare is only available to children between the ages of 2 and 10 years old.
• Children must be free of any symptoms of any illnesses.
• No food is allowed in the space.
