- Set Goals that Motivate You
- Goals create a road map for success. You have a higher chance to achieve the goal and you are more motivated to accomplish them. Motivation is very important when you set goals. Without motivation, you can develop a lack of interest to work on your goals. Reaching your goals is a great feeling to have, because you know that you accomplished something important to you.
- Set SMART Goals
- SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time. It is important to make your goals clear and to the point. Including dates, amounts, and numbers in your goal can help you have something to reach for. Goals should also be attainable and easy to accomplish and complete. Setting a relevant goal will help you stay focused. With time, it is important to provide yourself with a deadline of when you want to achieve your goal.
- Find a Workout Buddy
- Workouts are more worthwhile when you have someone with you to push you and keep you accountable. Workout buddies can provide positive affirmation and support when performing an exercise. Having someone to encourage and motivate you increases your chances of success.
- Record your Goals
- It might be a good idea to keep a journal listing the goals you want to achieve. Written goals are more realistic and achievable. A To-Do list is an example of how you can write down your goals. After you have completed a goal you can cross it off the list, which is fulfilling.
- Try Something New Each Week
- I know it may be easy to make excuses of why you don’t want to work out or eat healthy. To prevent this, try to freshen up your week by trying something new. It is good to switch it up, so you won’t get bored of the same thing every week.
