RiverPlex Training Overview

We continuously update our wide-open training studio on the lower level of the RiverPlex, complete with a great river view. This area is exclusive to our personal training programs. Personal training is a great way to learn the latest tactics in the world of fitness. It also helps you realize your potential and physical ability. Personal training builds your confidence and self-esteem, and it allows you to gain control over your own body image.

The RiverPlex employs personal trainers that have the education and training to help you meet all of your fitness goals. Our team will show you how to participate in a safe and productive exercise program that will give you results. Whether you are looking to add some intensity to your current fitness routine or getting started in the pursuit of your fitness goals, we can help develop a training program for your specific needs. The RiverPlex team of trainers is ready to help you!

Call Justin Bolkema at (309) 282-1506 or email jbolkema@peoriaparks.org to begin your personal training journey. He will go through these questions with you:

  • Are you a member or non member?
  • Is this for individual, couple, or group training?
  • What is your age (and age of others training with you, if applicable)?
  • Do you have any health conditions or concerns that your trainer should be aware of?
  • What is the best way to contact you?
  • What do you wish to get out of training/reasons for starting training?
  • What days/times work best for you to train? How many times a week do you want to train?
  • How many sessions would you like to purchase? (see rates below)
  • Do you have a preference for a male or female trainer, or do you have someone specific in mind?

Training Session Prices

Our most individualized and customized training available. You’ll have your own Personal Trainer who will design and implement a personalized program based on your individual needs and goals!

Besides traditional Personal Training, we also offer Nutrition Coaching. These sessions are interchangeable with Personal Training, so you can custom fit your sessions to help you achieve your goals!

For example, if you purchase 5 training sessions, you could split them as 3 personal training and 2 nutrition coaching. Keep this in mind when you sign up. All personal training sessions last 1 hour.

Live Streaming Data!

We are now implementing live streaming data into many of our small group training and personal training opportunities! Real-time feedback on heart rate zones, intensity points, calorie burn, and more!

Take advantage of the accountability and motivation that comes when training with others. This team training environment will remain individualized, but will also be able to utilize additional types of training, equipment, and competitive sport-specific drills.
